Soul Mates

When she’s wrapped up in his arms
He dreams of all her charms
She will thank her lucky stars
Knowing heaven’s not that far
For she’s his soul-mate

She’s his equal to the core
And he couldn’t ask for more,
Two eagles soaring to the sky
No more “me” but “you and I”
‘Cause they are soul-mates

He will thank his lucky stars
Knowing heaven’s not that far
‘Cause his heart has found a home
Knit together, they are one.
They’ve found their soul-mate

He slaps a steak upon the grill
And sees the things in her that thrill
Like a full moon with bright stars
His love is near; it isn’t far
In his soul mate

Hand in hand and side by side
Their journey shall be quite a ride
As he gently takes her hand
Together they will make their stand.
For they are soul mates

Introduction to my Poetry/Prose Blog

I love to write! Words are awesome! When I am reflecting on my life and its meaning, I sit down at my computer and write what is on my heart at the time. This is not only good therapy, it helps me organize and direct my thoughts, work things out in my head, thus making rhyme and reason for the world we live in.

Please enjoy my poetry and my short stories. Post a reply if you like (constructive criticism) and if it's positive, please explain "why" you liked it. I need input on how to improve and encouragement to keep writing.

I am working on greeting cards next. If you have any suggestions for titles and subjects for my greeting cards, please feel free to respond with one I haven't thought of and if you give me a title I will turn it into my next poem or greeting card; i.e.

Enjoy!
